Time for a change? Look no further. The Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell features an interchangeable module system that allows you to easily convert the Tetra cell from one application to another. You can switch between an electrophoresis cell for running PAGE or SDS-PAGE gels and an electrophoretic transfer cell for western blotting. Each module fits into the same buffer tank and lid to form a complete cell.
Designed to be robust and reliable, the Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell has several features to eliminate leaks during casting. Ground-glass plates with bonded spacers guarantee perfect alignment, thermoplastic casting gaskets form a waterproof seal with the plates, and a the spring-loaded lever locks down tight against the gaskets: all of the Tetra’s components work together to create a single, leakproof unit.
More runs with more gels mean more results. The high throughput of the Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell means you can simply get more done. Accommodating up to four handcast or Ready Gel® precast gels, the Tetra can run four mini gels in less than an hour and four 2-D gels in less than a day. And, for even more efficiency, a patented side-by-side casting stand allows access to two gels simultaneously.
